Here is the Japanese version of the Special Edition published by Taito. It was the deluxe set that had 13 versions of 9 games. Now this was purchased at a game store in the Akihabara district of Tokyo. It was listed as “Used”. If you’ve bought games in or from Japan used is pretty much a code word for new. I couldn’t find what was used on it honestly. The only thing that was not sealed inside is the artbook. The cds, marquees and even the game itself is still sealed. See enclosed pics. It was open but in talking with some of the hardcore Switch game collecting community, they said it was not sealed like the later editions were. Companies or game stores may put it inside of plastic sleeves on their own. The only marks are some scuffs on the back side, probably from coming back in my suitcase full of other games and toys.
